A simple 12 bar blues. Play with it and make it your own

[G] Well my G string broke on my uke today
And now I'm sad ‘cause I want to play
[C7] Back into the case my ukulele goes
[G] When it's fixed nobody knows
[D7] Can't get out to get new strings
No [G] uke to play, no songs to sing

[G] I go down to the shop with money to pay
For some aquila strings the very next day
[C7] They're out of stock, what will I do?
[G] Another shop I try don't have them too
[D7] Can I wait until they get them in?
[G] My choices sure are looking thin

[G] Next day I buy a random brand
Walk out of the shop with them in my hand
[C7] Get my uke down off the shelf
and [G] I fit the strings all by myself
The [D7] G string breaks, I start to cry
Back [G] to the shop, more strings to buy

[G] They fit the strings while I sit and wait
By now the time is getting late
[C7] I rush right home and start to play
[G] At least I'll get to strum today
[D7] the strings all stretch as I play along
[G] Is there no end to my sad song?

[G] I'll just play on ‘till they settle in
Put away my frown, put on my grin
[C7] I persevere until things come right
[G] I strum and tighten through the night
[D7] At least my ukulele now sounds ok
[G] But I've got work, no time to play

Note: Standard GCEA Usual Ukulele Tuning.
